WARNING
I'm not responsible if you brick your device!!! Do at your own risk!!!
Bootloader Unlocker and Root Tool will VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY!!!

How to use
Windows --> Download it here: http://undergroundandroid.com/developers/xLordAIOx/AIOtools/Linux/LAIOT.... unzip it on C:/ then open the folder LAIOT and execute LAIOT.bat either double clicking it or using cmd on it... If you want to use just one tool, open Tools folder and double click it, the names are very clear!!!
Question: Why to extract on C:/
Answer: Because if not, "Restore Backup Tool" will not work!

Linux --> Extract on your ~/ (If you didn't understand - /home/youruserhere), open LAIOT folder, double click "RunThisOnce.sh" select run in terminal, now it's installed, to run it, open a terminal and write LAIOT, it's opened! Please report here the bugs! The Linux version link is here http://undergroundandroid.com/developers/xLordAIOx/AIOtools/Linux/LAIOT...., everything from Windows version is included except Boot in Ubuntu, but I will add later, sorry for the long wait for the new update, but it's here!

Please help! I am not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not, but I can't find the file Xoom-Universal-Root.zip I have clicked on the link that you have posted in XDA-Forums, but all that does is take me to a page that has other links that do not work as well. I can't get an actual download to start. Please help me, I have been wanting to Root my Xoom for so long now, and it seems like I just can't get anywhere with this. I'm not trying to be a bother, but I would greatly appreciate it. Many thank you's in advance.

No problem, I hate when files are missing too.. Is it universal root with LAIOTools your looking for? If it's not already here as a download, give me till later tonight to get you a valid link here on U|A, can u give me the xda link you were referring to?

On another note, if your using windows I should have the windows version LAIOTools fixed and up here on U|A in just another day or two... which also has a fairly easy to use root utility in it! The current version has a few bugs in the script files most people have been using it then doing the steps that ave issues typing the commands by hand! "Which can be a pain sometimes"

But if you use Linux, that version should download and work perfect!

Check back later, I'll see what i can dig up!

The file "Xoom-Universal-Root.zip" was renamed on the tool, so it's called now "update.zip", maybe you can try downloading ARP to get all the root files for Xoom, each one was tested on a different version and are assured to run, this one was only tested on ICS and HC.

Hope it helps you ;) If you need any other help please explain it a little more clear, it took me some time to understand your problem there.

Yes I eventually figured out the fact that update.zip, and Xoom-Universal-Root.zip are the same file. The link I am referring to on XDA, is on this page ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468298 ), it is about 3 posts down, and is the 2nd post wrote by XxLordxX (which I assume is you). Here is my problem now though. I used the LAIOT and backed up my Xoom, then went through the step by step guide on here while going into fastboot on my Xoom, and unlocking my bootloader. I then restarted my Xoom and went into recovery and installed update.zip. I then restarted my Xoom, and went through the setup process. After my Xoom finished the setup process, I verified that SuperUser was in fact installed, and then proceeded to download RootChecker to verify Root status. Root Checker tells me, "Please wait for Root Check to complete. System appears to be running very slow." Then for the results, it tells me "Sorry! This device does not have proper root access." I have also used the Super-One-Click.exe in hopes that this would also do the trick. It starts running and it says it is installing SU, and BusyBox, and goes through the whole process. and then I try using the Root Checker again and still nothing,

Why can't I Root this damn thing?!?!?!

I just want to root my damn Xoom and be able to install custom Roms, or OverClock, or whatever the hell else I choose.

This is getting me very frustrated. I really don't understand why there isn't a one click process, like with Samsung products and how they use Odin.

Yes I'm that same XxLordxX ;)

And man! Calm down a little lol! Let's say that a little error may be on "Root Checker" code and that misled in that, sorry for such a big inconvenience...

If you want to manually try checking root access do the following: Enable USB Debugging

Plug you Xoom on your PC

Open a cmd and type:

cd C:/LAIOT/Tools/

adb shell

su

If it appears a # then it's ok! Running fine, but also don't forget to press "Allow" on your tablet if anything appears on your screen!
